Eric Travis Chasteen went to be with the Lord on July, 7, 2023.

He was son to the late Douglas and Mary Chasteen.

Eric graduated from Grissom High School, then pursued a career in the Air Force. What he learned during his time with the Air Force was so valuable that it helped launch his career at the Space and Rocket Center. There, he programmed old Air Force flight simulations to resemble space travel for would be astronauts. After 32 years, he retired from the Space and Rocket Center and engaged in many adventurous activities.

Eric was a kind and thoughtful person who could not pass a homeless person on the street without stopping to help. He loved his dogs Taylor and Tiki.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Chasteen; sister, Susan Chasteen; children, Diane Kenser, Daniel Chasteen, Stephen Chasteen; and 8 grandkids.

He will be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
