He was born on September 26, 1940, in Savannah, TN, to Othor and Lucille Hunt, his late parents. Wayne served in the Air Force as an Air Policeman for four years, demonstrating dedication and service to his country. After his military service, he pursued higher education at the University of North Alabama, majoring in Sociology and History.

Throughout his career, Wayne held various roles, including selling Bibles, working as a Boy Scout Executive, working in pest control, and curating western and gospel music. His diverse career showcased his adaptability and passion for helping others.

In his free time, Wayne enjoyed studying and immersing himself in Civil War history, which brought him great joy and fulfillment.
