James A Clements's Obituary

James A. Clements went to be with his beautiful, beloved wife and Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. We celebrated his 94 th birthday on Christmas Eve.  He was born on December 24, 1927, in LaFayette, Georgia.  He was the child of the late Charles Clements Sr. and Ethel Clement Clements.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Juanita Dyer Clements.

He is survived by two beautiful daughters, June Clements Crossfield (Craig) of Huntsville, AL, and Faye Clements Bowden (Jimmy) of Meridianville, AL; two loving Grandsons, Colby Crossfield and Dalton Bowden.  He had three siblings, JC Clements of Winchester, TN, and May Juanico of Orlando, FL.

He was also preceded in death by Charles Clements Jr. of Lafayette, GA.

After his service in the military, he moved to Gadsden, AL, where he worked at the Anniston Army Depot, and met his beautiful wife.  After marriage, they moved to Mobile, AL, where he worked at Brookley Air Force Base.  In 1960, they moved to Huntsville, AL, and began working at Redstone Arsenal as a Material Specialist on the Hellfire Helicopter Program until his retirement in 1993.

After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and family.  He would attend all of their sporting events and provide words of encouragement and support no matter the outcome. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending his days outdoors working cultivating in his garden.  His gardens were bountiful and he supplied his family and friends with produce throughout the summers.  He was the most generous, loving soul.  He was a man of God and loved serving and helping anyone in need.  He showed his love for God in how he treated everyone he met.  The family says he was the best daddy and granddaddy God could have given them.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 2 nd , from 12-2 p.m., at Berryhill Funeral Home.  A private family graveside service will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to thank The Caring for Life Hospice Family Care for their compassionate love and care of their precious daddy and granddaddy.
