James P. "Jim" Dalton, 76, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday.

Mr. Dalton retired from the Madison County Sheriff's Department after 25 years of service.  Before his career as a deputy, he was heard on the radio for many years and worked at WAAY-TV.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah England Dalton; three siblings, Charles "Buddy" Culpepper, Justin (Billy) Schlumpf, and Chris (Patricia Goode) Culpepper; uncle, Charles (Teresa) Christie; and nephew, Daniel Paul England.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 13th from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by memorial service at 2:00 with Rusty Hills officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chase Park Church of Christ.
