Jennifer Labalan Emery, 50, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Mrs. Emery is survived by her husband, Burlin Emery; children, Elijah Emery, Gabriel Emery, and Sarah Emery; mother, Emma Emery; siblings, Beth Labalan, Ernie Labalan, and Emmaline Chaudhuri (Evan).

She is preceded by her father, Ernesto Labalan; and step-father, Luther Emery.

Jennifer Emery was the bright light in our family - the joy and laughter that kept us going. She shined brightly not only in our family but within the community as well. From her countless volunteer hours at school or church to her retail work, Jennifer always kept busy. She began life as a dutiful daughter and sister, transitioned into a loving friend, then into a faithful wife and doting mother. Each role of hers only served to show the greatness of her character and the dedication of her love. Beautiful both inside and out, Jennifer never met a stranger. Always a doer with many inspirations, Jennifer was a giving spirit. She was a fighter, surviving multiple surgeries and never losing sight of her humanity. Her goofy nature and natural silliness made the hard times easier. Jennifer may not have had the strongest heart, but of us all she had the biggest one.

Visitation for Mrs. Emery will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.  The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green, Alabama.
