Marvin Bradley "Brad" Steele, 92 of Madison, AL passed away Wednesday February 22, 2023 after a short illness at Huntsville Hospital.
He was born December 23, 1930 in Lexington, VA, and was the son of the late Edgar Alexander and Sadie Bradley Steele. He attended Hinton High School in Hinton, WV and graduated with the class of 1949. In 1953 he graduated from the University of West Virginia, Morgantown, WV. He had a long career with Conoco as well as with the Williams-Agrico company. Most recently he retired (2015) as General Manager with the Beaty Fertilizer Company in Cleveland, TN after 25 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Tanya Anne Steele; daughter, Susan Steele of San Antonio, TX; two sons, Roger B. Steele (Debbie) of Owasso, OK and Thomas A. Steele (Laura Long) of Broken Arrow, OK; two stepsons, Phil Collins (Joan), Louis Elbaum (Faye) of Huntsville AL; six grandchildren: Derek E. Steele of San Antonio, TX, Logan A. Steele of Tulsa, OK and Taylor D. Steele of Broken Arrow, OK, Stephanie Farwell (Scott) of Apex, NC, Ashley Weaver (John Richard) of Lacombe, LA and Cody Norris (Brandi) of Madison, AL ,six great-grandchildren and sister, Jean Johnson of San Antonio, TX.
Marvin (Brad) was a devoted Christian that loved his family dearly and enjoyed cooking and sharing stories with them. He had a lifelong passion of watching football and an avid interest in railroading. His wife was the light of his life and he cherished all of his children and stepchildren. He was an amazing father, grandfather and friend. He touched the lives of so many people. He will truly be missed and will never ever be forgotten.
No services are planned. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
