Sue Childers passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 09, 2024, surrounded by family.

Sue was an active member of Mable Hill Church and she cherished her relationship with the Lord.

Sue never met a stranger and she was so very proud of her family. If you met her, you were family. Sue worked most of her life as a waitress because of her love of people. She enjoyed quilting, sewing. and cooking. Sue always enjoyed teaching her skills to her family and friends. Her favorite activity was anything that allowed her to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jerry Childers; three loving children, Larry (Nancy) Childers of Toney, AL, Tina Childers Hudgins of Deatsville, AL, and David (Christy) Childers of Huntsville, AL; six grandchildren, Krystin (Harley) Fish of Prattville, AL, Heather (Bud) Davies of Prattville, AL, Brandy Davidson of Huntsville, AL, Amanda Childers of Huntsville, AL, Chris (Krystle) Childers of Toney, AL, and Kendall (Jake) Lloyd of Huntsville, AL; along with many great-grandchildren and extended family.

A celebration of life is scheduled for December 14, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Mable Hill Baptist Church.
