Sandra Louise Bernstein, aged 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Sandra is survived by her devoted husband of 61 and a half years, Peter Bernstein. She leaves behind her cherished daughters, Rebecca Wilson and her husband Eric, Rachel Watson and her husband Lance, and Robin Young and her husband Terry. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Joshua Wilson and his wife Rachel, Jaelyn Wilson Lazarz and her husband Michael, Taylor Young and Peter Garrett Young, Lilianna Watson, and Lawrence Riley Watson, as well as her great-grandchild, Londyn Wilson.

Sandra is also survived by her siblings, Naomi Greenburg, Vicki Brooks, Leslie Reimer, James Herndon, and Kathie Herndon. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ralph and Cora Herndon.

Sandra had a deep love for her Lord Jesus Christ and her family. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as admiring wildflowers, quilting, and traveling with her family. She cherished moments spent sitting on her couch, enjoying her front porch swing, and bird watching from her sunroom.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.  The interment will occur at Alabama National Cemetery on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 11:45 am, in Montevallo, Alabama.
