Sherry Sain, 64, of Huntsville passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022.

Sherry was born on May 2, 1958, to James and Angie Smith and grew up in Chalybeate Springs. She was a long-time resident of Decatur and a resident of Huntsville for the past fifteen years. Sherry along with her husband, Johnny, owned and operated North Alabama Mortuary Express since 2006 and touched countless lives.

Sherry will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandsons, as well as a caring and loving friend to all who knew her.

Sherry is survived by her daughter, Amber Rutherford, son, William Rutherford, grandsons, Ezra and Liam, brothers, Aaron Smith and Darrel Smith (Diane), sister, Sheila Spigle (Yon), several nieces and nephews, a close friend of fifty years, Gail Adams, and, of course, her boys Waylon and Willie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Sain, sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Hill, and brother, James "Kenny" Smith. She was also preceded by her first husband, A.T. Rutherford Jr.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home.

A graveside service will take place Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Midway Memorial Gardens in Moulton, AL with Rev. Anthony Ford officiating.

Pallbearers will be Corey Adams, Chris Adams, Jimmy Stilwell, and Nick Spigle.
