Suraiya "Blue" Monica Turner, 75, of New Market, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Mrs.Turner came to the USA from Bangkok Thailand in January 1970 it was there in a small diner in New Jersey she met who would become her forever loving Husband Jesse, after a brief courtship they married in June of 1970, In 1992 they moved to Huntsville, Alabama and made a small rural town called New Market home!
In 1992 Mrs & Mr. Turner started a store called Five Points Beverages, oh how Blue loved getting up every morning and going to the store with Jesse to open up and interact with the people that would come through each and every day for 25 years that was Blue's life! In 2017 they closed the store forever and Retired to live life together!
Blue is survived by her eternally loving Husband Jesse, her siblings Thattaya Thattaya, Noppadon Srisomboon, Usa Srisomboom, and Jeravan Isara 3 grandkids Kelly Turner Kaitlyn Lancto and Kevin Lancto, 3 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild
Blue is preceded in death by her two Children Kerry Teigen and Kevin Turner her mother Tahera Gayasudin Srisomboon and her father Ibrahim Kulamhusen Srisomboon and a loving Aunt Dara Kulamhusen
Blue had two lifelong friends she never went a day without talking or speaking too and that was Marjorie Hongsdusit and Tommy Connlly that she leaves behind!
Blue had two more very special people in her life that she called her adoptive kids although not blood-related she tried every day to say let's go make this official, Laura Woods and Jeff Patten, the family thanks you both for taking Blue in, and Taking care of her and loving her like the mom she was!
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at St. Mary of the Visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Father Joy Nellissery officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Cemetery in Huntsville.
